Pathanamthitta: A student nominated by the Governor Arif Mohammed Khan to the senate of Kerala University has been arrested in connection with a college clash. Sudhi Sadan, a graduate student of Pandalam NSS College, was arrested and remanded in a case that arose from a clash at the college. Sudhi Sadan and another student, Vishnu, were both arrested by the Pandalam police.
The conflict occurred among the students regarding the Christmas celebration at Pandalam NSS College, resulting in injuries to seven students. Sudhi Sadan, who is also associated with ABVP, was arrested in connection with this incident.
ABVP (Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad) has alleged that the police and SFI (Students’ Federation of India) turned the student conflict into a political issue. ABVP further alleges that police arrested its activists who were not involved in the case, following directives from the CPI(M).
