Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has allocated a private secretary to KV Thomas, the government’s special representative in Delhi. Despite the financial crisis, the government has approved the appointment of the private secretary with retrospective effect of one year. In response to KV Thomas’s request, the government has issued an order appointing Adv. Roy K. Varghese as a Private Secretary (PS) in addition to the previously sanctioned personnel staff members.
Adv. Roy K. Varghese will receive a monthly salary of Rs 44,020. A sum of Rs 5,28,240 will be granted as salary arrears, with retrospective effect from January 27, 2023. Additionally, the Private Secretary will receive other facilities, including access to a vehicle. Earlier, an honorarium of Rs 12.50 lakh was given to KV Thomas by relaxing the treasury control amid the financial crisis.
