Thrissur: The Yoga Kshema Sabha has demanded stringent action against CPI leader and Thrissur MLA P Balachandran, who posted insulting remarks about the Ramayana and Hindu beliefs on social media. The Yoga Kshema Sabha, in a statement, expressed that Balachandran’s post, which insulted Lord Ram and Goddess Sita in vulgar language, is objectionable. There is no point in circulating the post through social media and later expressing regret. The Sabha insists on strong action against Balachandran, who has shown a tendency to insult the beliefs of believers while holding the position of an MLA. Akeeraman Kalidasan Bhattathiripad, the state president of Yoga Kshema Sabha, made this statement.
On Wednesday, Thrissur MLA P Balachandran shared a controversial social media post on Facebook that insulted Hindu gods, Lord Sri Rama, Sita Devi, and Lakshmana. The post was subsequently withdrawn after facing severe public outcry. Following the incident, the Hindu Aikyavedi called for the resignation of the MLA for insulting Hindu Gods and Hindu beliefs.
