New Delhi:New Delhi: Union Minister V. Muraleedharan stated that even the party members in Kannur would not believe Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s ‘hounding theory’ in the investigation against Veena Vijayan. He emphasized, “There is no point in lamenting that your wife and daughter are being hounded. It is not enough for the Chief Minister to say that his hands are clean. He must answer for what service did CMRL make the payment. He has not been able to disclose it till now.” The Union Minister added that the Chief Minister and his daughter should cooperate with the investigation. He also called on the opposition to retract the allegation about BJP-CPI(M) collusion. V. Muraleedharan remarked that VD Satheesan should behave according to the dignity of his post.
CM Pinarayi Vijayan had informed the Legislative Assembly earlier that his daughter Veena Vijayan had used his wife’s pension to start the business, and her company was established with that capital. The Chief Minister also claimed that his hands are pure. The Union Minister’s response was in the context of this statement of Pinarayi Vijayan.
