Palwal: In a shocking incident at Palwal in Haryana, a man involved in the protection of cows were shot to death by cow smugglers as he tried to stop them from transporting the stolen cows. The deceased, Gopal, is a member of the local Gau Rakshak Dal and father to three daughters.

Gopal was active in capturing cow smugglers in the area and had nabbed many smugglers before being shot to death.

On the fateful day, Gopal received information that cows were stolen an illegally transported in a van. He informed other members of the Gau Rakshak Dal and arrived at the location to intercept the van carrying the stolen cows. The van which was speeding through the Palwal highway did not stop and Gopal chased the smugglers.

One of the smugglers opened fire at Gopal from inside the van hitting him fatally. Though, he was taken to a hospital by other members of the Gau Rakshak Dal, he succumbed to his injuries soon after.

Reports say that cow smuggling is rampant in the area and this has already led to Gau Rakshaks being extra vigilant. Many cow vigilantes have fallen victims to the attacks by cow smugglers. Cows are considered sacred and a source of income for the people. Stealing cows and illegally transporting those lead to tense situations in many parts of the country.

The left liberal media usually paint Gau Rakshaks as the perpetrators of crimes and mob lynching. However, they hide the fact that cows are being stolen and smuggled by organized gangs in many parts of the country. Gau Rakshaks are being constituted in a bid to protect the cows from these criminal groups.

In support of Gopal and Gau Rakshaks #GopalLynched has been trending the Twitter throughout the day.
