The cVIGIL application marks a significant leap in election monitoring and reducing ruckus during campaign. In a press conference to announce the 2024 General Elections, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar had requested the citizens to use this app to be vigilant and report violations of code of conduct and any kind of inducement to voters.
cVIGIL is a user-friendly and easy-to-use application that connects vigilant citizens with District Control Room, Returning Officer and Flying Squad team. By using this application, citizens can report political abuse within minutes without going to the Returning Officer’s office. As soon as the complaint is sent in the cVIGIL application, the complainant will get a unique identification number (UID). Using this UID, the person can know the status of his complaint on their mobile.
The cVIGIL application is one of the collection of applications developed by the commission to leverage technology and provide convenience to voters and political parties.
