Anti-Corruption Bureau sends notice to PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti in illegal recruitment case

Jammu & Kashmir: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Mehbooba Mufti, was served a notice by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) to explain her position before the agency regarding illegal recruitments to the Jammu and Kashmir Bank.

The case pertains to appointments made by the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank after being referred by a few Ministers.

The ACB’s notice says, ” It may please be clarified whether such references had your endorsement, verbal or otherwise for appointments in J&K Bank.”

However, Mehbooba Mufti is trying to change the narrative by playing the victim card. She is accusing the Central government for serving the notice in a corruption case and claims that it is an attempt to browbeat her.

Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah, and scores of Kashmiri politicians are trying to thwart the Indian security forces efforts to prevent suicide attacks by Pakistani based terrorists.

Mufti has called for an all-party meet including separatists today at Srinagar.

Incidentally, an MLA with the Awami Ittehad Party chief Engineer Rashid has been summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to Delhi.

The Central government is moving swift and firm against separatist elements and terror networks throughout the valley. The BJP is leaving no stones upturned to eradicate the menace of terrorism and the grip of Pakistan and other enemy nations to meddle in the internal affairs of India.
