Siliguri: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police denied permission to Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to hold a rally to celebrate the Central government’s decision to abrogate Article 370. However, permission was given to the CPI(M) to hold a rally against the scrapping of the Article when the Bill was introduced in Rajya Sabha.

The BJP leadership accused the Trinamool Congress (TMC) led by Mamata Banerjee for the biased decision of the administration and said that both TMC and CPI(M) were in an alliance to revive the communist party.

The BJP President of Siliguri District, Abhijit Roy CHoudhury said, “It is very sad that the Siliguri Metropolitan Police has denied permission to BJYM Siliguri Org. district to hold a rally in support of the removal of Article 370 on 09.08. 2019 although permission was sought well in time. ”

Abhijit Choudhury said that there was an alliance between TMC and the CPI(M) because the communist party got permission to hold a rally against the removal of Article 370.

He said, “This clearly shows a clear alliance between the CPI(M) and TMC and the Trinamool Congress is trying it’s best to give oxygen to the CPI(M) in Siliguri.”

The BJP leader said, “We strongly condemned this undemocratic Act of the Siliguri Metropolitan Police taking place under instructions from Nabanna and their tacit support for Anti-Indian sentiments by supporting and permitting rallies against removal of Article 370 but preventing nationalists from holding a rally in support of the removal of Article 370.”

Abhijit Choudhury added that he would take up the matter with the Governor and the Central Ministry.
