Chandigarh: Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh, has come out against Pakistani Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Chaudhry, for his tweet demeaning the Indian Army. Chaudhry had asked the Punjabis in Indian Army should deny duty in Kashmir.

In his reply, Amarinder Singh, a former Indian Army captain told the Pakistani Minister to mind his own business and not to interfere in India’s internal matters.

In a tweet the Chief Minister of Punjab said, ” Stop trying to interfere in India’s internal matter. And let me tell you that the Indian Army is a disciplined and nationalist force, unlike your Army @fawadchaudhry. Your provocative statement will not work, nor will the Soldiers in our Army follow your divisive diktats.”

Pakistan is trying to incite unrest in Kashmir after it realised that it is losing its clout in the region. After India scrapped Article 370, there has been no marked violence or protests in any region of Jammu and Kashmir. The valley is silent and even the Eid celebrations went on smoothly without any untoward incidents.

Captain Amarinder Singh has in past come out in support of the Armed forces when his colleagues in the Congress party took an antagonist position against Indian Army. After the fatal attack at Pulwama and the latter airstrike by Indian Air Force, Amarinder Singh extended his full support to the security forces.

At that time Congress under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi was questioning the Indian Military and also the authenticity of Balakot airstrikes.

The Chief Minister of Punjab also was not happy when Congress leader Navjot Sidhu went to Pakistan to attend the swearing in ceremony of Imran Khan. Sidhu also was seen hugging the Pakistani Military General.

Amarinder Singh is a rare leader in the present Congress leadership who exhibits genuine love for the country and trust in the Indian Military.
