New Delhi: Muslim fundamentalist and religious preacher, Zakir Naik, has again tried to create communal strife between Hindus and Muslims in India. This time he took up the Kashmir issue to spread his message of hatred.
He said that Indian government’s action to scrap Article 370 is unconstitutional and asked the Muslim countries of the world to unite against India. The Islamic preacher also said that India will destroy Kashmir just like how Israel did to Palestine.
Zakir Naik in a public gathering said, ” “Kashmir opted to be a part of India as long as they could be independent. But 70 years later, the Bharatiya Janata Party government, an anti-Islamic government, wanted to scrap this. The only way they could have done that is by getting a majority in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. It is unconstitutional to make it a part of the Indian territory.”
He also admonished the Muslim countries for not uniting against India’s move to integrate Jammu and Kashmir with India. He said, “What is the Muslim umma doing? Nothing.”
The Islamic preacher also said exhibited his limited knowledge of Indian history by claiming that India had divided Muslims in 1947 into three countries which are India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
Zakir Naik is a controversial Muslim preacher who specializes in denouncing other religions to present Islam as the supreme and perfect religion of mankind. For this he spreads communal hatred and encourages divisions among different communities.
India had banned his Islamic Research Foundation in 2016 for spreading enmity and ill well among different communities.
Notably, his speeches have encouraged many young men to choose the path of terrorism especially in South Asia. Reports say that many terrorists involved in terror attacks in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India were influenced by the speeches of Zakir Naik.
Zakir Naik, who is currently residing in Malaysia, has stroked a controversy in that country by saying that the minority Hindus living there have hundred times more rights than the majority Muslims.
His aim was to create a communal strife between Muslims and Hindus in Malaysia which could lead to ethnic cleansing and genocide. Fortunately, many political leaders have come together to oppose his dangerous rhetoric and have asked the government to throw the Islamic preacher out of the country.
