Islamabad: The Sunday Guardian today published a disturbing article about Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) plans to instigate a massive bloodbath in Kashmir in a bid to internationalize the situation.
In an article titled ‘Hoping for a bloodbath, ISI plans to push ‘unarmed’ Pakistanis into valley’ the news portal described that team of ISI officials have visited Balochistan and Pakistani Punjab to recruit people willing to enter India to reclaim what is of Pakistan and to seize the ‘holy land of Kashmir’.
Those who enter will number to thousands and will be unarmed. The intention is to force the Indian security forces to shoot at the Pakistani unarmed infiltrators and thus unleashing a bloodbath with which the Pakistani authorities can blame India for.
A crowd of thousands of people will be hard to manage or contain by Indian security forces and the ISI believes that this will force the Indian military to open fire.
The Sunday Guardian quotes a Pakistan based source who said, ” “The ISI’s plan is to force the Indian Army to shoot at the ‘unarmed pro-Kashmir protesters’ once these people try to enter Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan occupied Kashmir in full public view. These protesters, numbering in thousands will have the support of armed Pakistani army irregulars. They will try to cross the border, leading to action from the Indian Army. What happened in East Timor in the late 1990s might be re-enacted in Kashmir. These Pakistanis are expecting that they will be joined by the pro-Pakistan group based in Kashmir once they gather at the border. Once a bloodbath takes place, as it will, Pakistan’s policymakers believe that the international community will be forced to intervene in Kashmir.”
Indian officials say that Pakistan is trying to influence international media through think tanks based in Washington and London. Of lately, some international media have begun to publish pro-Pakistani arguments in Kashmir.
The BBC also followed suit which showed Indian Army in a poor light and accused it of atrocities which the Indian Army has strongly denied.
The international media is consuming the fake pictures and images that show armed brutalities going on in Kashmir. The handlers in Pakistan wants Kashmir to be pictured as a humanitarian crisis to bring in international attention into India’s internal matter.
