Bengaluru: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 8 am in Saturday, in the backdrop of Chandrayaan-2’s lander ‘Vikram’ losing contact with ground stations.

“We will rise to the occasion and scale newer heights of success. To our scientists I want to say- India is with you! You are exceptional professionals who have made an incredible contribution to national progress,” said Modi in his speech.

He also said, “To our scientists I would like to say” India is with you and the best is yet to come.”
Modi said, “Friends, I could feel what you were going through few hours back and I could read it from your eyes. You live for India’s honour, I salute you.”

Highlighting upon more opportunities in the future, he said “Your hard work and efforts ensure a better life for citizens and nation. It was your zeal that several people had access to a better life, better education and health facilities. There will be more opportunities to rejoice and pride.”

“You are exceptional professionals who have made an incredible contribution to national progress. You have always given your best. We will give you several more opportunities to smile,”Prime Minister added.

Adding that there are ups and downs in life, PM Modi appealed them to hope for the best.

“Vikram lander descend was normal and as planned till 2.1 km. Subsequently, communication was lost. Data is being analyzed,” K Sivan said at the ISRO Monitoring Center in Bengaluru.
