Jammu and Kashmir: In a merciless attempt by Pakistan based militants in Jammu and Kashmir, a two and half years old girl was shot by terrorists in Dangerpora area of Sopore district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Baby Asma was among the three injured in the attack which took place today morning.

Srinagar District Magistrate and Development Commissioner, Shahid Choudhary, said in a tweet, “Baby Asma of 30 months in among the injured in militant attack on fruits merchants in Sopore. She didn’t deserve this. We’ve put in all effort to get an air ambulance ASAP to take her Delhi for advanced medical attention.”

Choudhary also asked everyone to pray for the little child’s speedy recovery.

The police said that all the injured have been shifted to the hospital and is undergoing treatment. Their condition are said to be stable.

The Jammu and Kashmir police dubbed the attack as ‘merciless act of terrorism’ and said a team has reached the place and investigations are going on.

Though, Jammu and Kashmir is trying to attain normalcy, Pakistan backed militants are trying to disrupt the peace in the valley. Indian security forces have been on high alert and have thwarted many attempts of the militants to spill blood of innocent people.

The attack on a small child shows the level to which Pakistani militants will stoop to destroy the peace of the state.
