New Delhi: The Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) witnessed a 5.8 magnitude earthquake today which led to the death of 19 persons and injuring 300 others. The epicenter of the earthquake is believed to be near New Mirpur in PoK.
Some houses and hospitals collapsed in Mirpur and emergency have been declared in PoK. Roads have been cracked and several vehicles have fell into the cervices.
Many cities in Northern Pakistan felt the tremors the earthquake which was high intensity. Fortunately, the Mangla Dam near Mirpur remained safe but the officials have shut down the power house.
Upper Jhelum canal was damaged and the waters have entered several villages.
North Indian cities like Delhi and some other parts of North India also felt the tremors of the earthquake.
