Jaipur: The Indian Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, warned Pakistan against committing a mistake like what happened in 1971, when the Islamic nation lost the war against India and Bangladesh was created. He hinted that if Pakistan repeats its action then India would disintegrate the enemy country as it did in Indo-Pak war.
He also said that during Balakot air strike the India took extra caution not to hit civilians and army infrastructure but targeted only terrorists camps. However, if Pakistan continues with pursuing terrorism against India then things might change.
Rajnath Singh said, ” We took great precaution and did not attack Pakistan or its Army. We targeted only terror training camps in Balakot, but if it continues like this, then things may change.”
The Defence Minister said, “I have reiterated this suggestion to Pakistan to consider what happened in 1971…what will happen to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) this time.”.
He added, “I have repeatedly suggested Pakistan not to repeat the mistake of 1971, Pakistan was broken and Bangladesh was formed. I have said do not repeat the mistake of 1971 keeping in mind what will happen to PoK.”
Rajnath Singh’s warning comes after there were reports that Pakistan is trying to infiltrate terrorists into India in large numbers. He said that Pakistan could not come to terms with the fact that India abrogated Article 370.
The Army Chief General Bipin Rawat had also warned Pakistan that India would go beyond Balakot if the country continues to infiltrate terrorists into India.
Pakistan tried to use every international forum to accuse India of aggression against Kashmir. However, no world powers barring China supported Pakistan. The country was snubbed globally and their voice has grown dim. The world community has realised that the epicentre of terrorism is Pakistan and have declined to accept the country’s claims.
Pakistani Prime Minister, Imran Khan, publically acknowledged the fact that the world is not pressurising Narendra Modi in Kashmir issue. He said that it was due to the fact that India is a much bigger market than Pakistan. Imran Khan accepted his defeat in internationalizing the Kashmir issue.
India has raised the bar in Kashmir by claiming Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) as its integral territory. Amit Shah announced in Parliament that PoK and Aksai Chin is also part of India and promised to lay down his life to claim it back.
