Panaji: A Goa-Delhi IndiGo flight carrying around 180 passengers was compelled to turnaround after the aircraft’s engine caught fire. Among the passengers included Goa environment minister Nilesh Cabral and a team of officers.
According to the media reports, the left engine of Goa-Delhi IndiGo flight caught fire after it took off from the Goa airport on Sunday night.
All the passengers were evacuated safely.
IndiGo said that the aircraft is currently being checked by the maintenance team.
