New Delhi: BJP leader Amit Malviya on Sunday took a jibe at Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for ‘imitating’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi after she went ahead and hugged Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Amit Malviya targeted the Congress leader by saying that Priyanka is ‘taking a leaf out of Modi’s book’ after she attacked PM Modi by mocking him on grounds of ‘hugplomacy’.
“They say imitation is the best form of flattery. After mocking Prime Minister Modi over hugplomacy, Mrs Vadra takes a leaf out of his book… She should perhaps also counsel the over zealous folks in her party and her petulant brother, when he returns from his foreign jaunt…” the BJP leader tweeted.

On Sunday, Congress leaders including interim chief Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan Singh and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra met Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and as per reports both Congress leaders and Bangladesh PM discussed ways to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries during the meeting.
Earlier, the Congress had mocked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his much-talked hugs.
“With Modi, it seems like a hug a day sends foreign leaders running away,” Congress had tweeted on March 14 with a hashtag ‘hugplomacy’.
