Lucknow: Seven Islamic terrorists are feared to have entered Uttar Pradesh through Nepal border says intelligence reports. The presence of terrorists days before the final verdict of Ayodhya is due worries the security forces.
A senior police officer said, “Pakistani terror groups are targeting Uttar Pradesh and this input has put us on high alert. The 14 Kosi Parikrama has begun in Ayodhya on Tuesday morning and will conclude on Wednesday morning. The event attracts lakhs of devotees from all over the country.”
The official warns that the seven terrorists, linked to Pakistani based terror network, might be hiding in Ayodhya, Faizabad, and Gorakhpur. Sources also say that these men could be dressed up as Hindu men in a bid to mingle with the crowd.
Worryingly, his could help the terrorists strike at their choice of time and place.
Five of the terrorists who might have already entered the state are Mohammad Yakub, Abu Hamza, Mohammad Shahbaz, Nizar Ahmad, and Mohammad Quami Chaudhary.
Meanwhile, the Central government has given 4000 extra personnel of the paramilitary forces to maintain law and order situation during and after the verdict of Ayodhya comes out.
15 companies of paramilitary forces include BSF, RAF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB and will be on duty in the state till 18 November.
