New Delhi: The intelligence agencies have given a grave warning that ISIS and Al Qaeda terrorists are planning to target Jews living in India. The intelligence agencies have intercepted online messages which suggests that two Islamic terrorist organizations have given directions to their operatives to target Jews and Israelis in India.
According to the intelligence report, Kerala too could be a potential target for the Islamic groups. A Kerala based terror group is said to have taken a recce of Jewish settlements in Kerala.
The report warns that the Freemason Temple, Sarvothamam Masonic Temple and Koder Hall in Kochi could be targeted.
Intelligence agencies also warns that Israelis coming to India as tourists might be kidnapped by ISIS or Al Qaeda. States having Jewish and Israeli communities have alerted the communities about the threat.
The report also suggests that schools and hotels frequented by Israelis could also be targeted.
The warnings from the intelligence agencies comes after foreign intelligence agencies warned of a plot to attack the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi.
Islamist terror groups are targeting Israel, especially after that country supported India’s decision to abrogate Article 370.
