New Delhi: In a bid to promote harmony in the nation ahead of the Supreme Court verdict in the Ayodhya case, RSS functionaries have decided on Wednesday to approach leaders from various political parties.
Senior RSS functionaries will meet selected leaders of political parties like Congress, Samajwadi Party, Trinamool Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Left parties with Muslims as their major vote bank.
The politically-sensitive case is expected to end before November 17 with the Supreme Court’s verdict when Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi demits the office.
The RSS functionaries will meet influential leaders to appeal to maintain peace and harmony, regardless of the judicial outcome.
The RSS has been relentlessly making efforts to send message across the country that the top court’s judgement should be “accepted wholeheartedly by everyone”, regardless of which side it favours.
