Sabarimala verdict: Woman who tried to violate ancient traditions says she will try to enter shrine if there is no stay by SC on earlier verdict

Thiruvananthapuram: The woman who tried to violate ancient traditions last year, Kanaka Durga, has reacted to today’s Supreme Court verdict by saying that she will come to Sabarimala if there is no stay in the earlier verdict of the court. She also said that let the larger bench decide on the case.

Kanaka Durga’s words, just after the case was referred to a larger bench by the Supreme Court, shows how much the anti-Hindu block is trying to demean the holy shrine. She along with Bindhu had tried to violate the ancient traditions with the help of the communist government and Kerala police, last year.

Last year, the women tried to enter the shrine at night by covering their faces. They were accompanied by police in plain clothes providing security cover to the women. The police also captured the video of the duo walking up the hill towards Sabarimala.

Kanaka Durga and Bindhu had tried to enter the temple before that and was met by strong opposition by the Ayyappa devotees. They had to leave midway at that time. However, the police and the government conspired to take the women to Sabarima.

The communist government tried every trick in the book to hurt the Hindu sentiments by trying forcibly to make women enter Sabarimala. The excuse of the communist party is that they were trying to execute the court’s order.

However, the government failed to execute the Supreme Court’s order when it came to a fight between two factions of a Christian church.

The brave resistance put forward by Ayyappa devotees made it hard for the government to forcibly violate ancient rituals and traditions of the holy temple.
