Srinagar: Under the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir achieved the country’s highest road length this year.
The construction of roads covered 11,400 kilometres with 1,838 habitations.
The PMGSY is an initiative launched by the Modi government to provide good all-weather road connectivity to unconnected villages in the country.
