Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, said that he is extremely sad about the death of the Unno rape survivor who was set ablaze by the accused while on bail. Adityanath also announced fast-track court to try the five accused behind the horrendous incident.

The Chief Minister in a statement said, “All the accused persons have been arrested. The case will be taken to a fast-track court, and punishment will be given.”

The woman was doused with kerosene and set on fire by the accused who had raped her before. They were out on bail when they attacked the survivor, while she was on her way to court.

The woman suffered 90 percent burns most of which were facial and inhalation injuries. She was brought to Delhi for advanced treatment but the doctors could not save her life.

The victim’s father said that he wanted the accused killed in the same way as the four culprits of the veterinary doctor’s rape and murder case.  The four were shot dead by Telangana police after they allegedly tried to attack the police personnel.
