Sriharikota: ISRO has launched RISAT-2BR1 and 9 customer satellites by PSLV-C48 from Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota.
RISAT-2BR1 is a radar imaging earth observation satellite weighing about 628 kg. It is also meant for applications by the military besides various fields like agriculture, forestry and disaster management support.
9 customer satellites includes one from Israel, Italy, Japan each and six from the USA as “co-passengers”.
“All 9 customer satellites(from Israel, Italy, Japan and USA) successfully placed in their designated orbit by #PSLVC48,” tweeted ISRO.
