New Delhi: Kerala House in the national capital has become a safe haven for the protesters who wrecked havoc at Jamia Millia University. Reports say that Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, gave instruction to harbour 86 student protesters at Kerala House.
The students were from Jamia Millia University who did not return to their homes after the hostels were closed down following the violent protests.
Investigating agencies say that around 200 students were harboured at the Kerala House. There are reports that those who unleashed violence were outsiders who have criminal backgrounds. It seems that Kerala House has been opened up for criminal persons masquerading as students with the blessings of the Kerala Chief Minister.
These protesters were visited by CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member, Brinda Karat, All India Mahila Association leader Maimoona Molla, and CPI(M) Member of State Secretariat of Delhi, P. A. Raveendran.
Investigating agencies believe that many who were part of the arson and vandalism during the Jamia Millia University are hiding in Kerala House.
