Kolkata: The Bangladesh government denied visa to West Bengal minister and Muslim leader Siddiqullah Chowdhury. According to him, even after following due procedure for visa application, the Bangladeshi authorities denied visa to him.
Chowdhury was scheduled to travel to Bangladesh on December 26.
Sources in the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata said the visa was denied on ‘technical’ grounds.
Chowdhury had to attend the centenary celebrations of a madrassa in Bangladesh’s Sylhet and personal commitments.
