Patna: Former Union Minister Arun Jaitley’s statue was unveiled on his birth anniversary by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday. Jaitley’s family and Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi were also present at the event.
In August, Nitish Kumar had announced that a statue of the former Finance Minister will be installed and also his birth anniversary will be celebrated as a State function every year.
Rohan Jaitley, son of late Arun Jaitley said, ” Arun Jaitley had a deep connection with Bihar as a State. He has been a big influence in the expansion of the party in the State. There has been a big contribution of Arun Jaitley in terms of social work. This also helped to build a strong relationship between both the leaders.”
One of the stalwart leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Arun Jaitley, passed away on August 24 this year.
