CPI(M) forms alliances with Islamic extremist organizations like Popular Front of India and the Jamaat-e-Islami: Yechury shares stage with communal leaders

Andhra Pradesh: Going back on their decision of not forming alliances with communal forces, the CPI(M) is actually getting allied with Islamic fundamental organizations. The communist party is now associating with the Popular Front of India (PFI) and the Jamaat-e-Islami outside Kerala.

In the name of anti-Citizenship Amendment Act, the CPI(M) is trying to form an alliance with these Islamic extremists groups. The General Secretary of CPI(M), Sitaram Yechury, even participated in a protest in Andhra Pradesh, which was organized by PFI and the Jamaat-e-Islami.

The communist leader shared the stage with PFI’s State President, Yusuf Rashadi, and State Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami.

The states of Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh are planning to ban the PFI for instigating violence during anti-CAA protests at Mangalore in Karnataka and in many parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Both PFI and Jamaat-e-Islami are well known Islamic extremists groups. However, the communist party has decided to associate with them in a calculated move to oppose the BJP and to block the opportunity of minorities of Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan from getting citizenship of India.
