New Delhi: Reports say that intelligence agencies have discovered a plot to eliminate Chhota Rajan, the arch rival of D-company run by the notorious underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim. The threat was issued by Chhota Shakeel, who is the main aide of Dawood.

The D-company leaders are operating its nefarious activities from Pakistan. Though, the Islamic country denies it, Indian intelligence have known the existence of these underworld leaders in that country.

The intelligence sleuths intercepted a phone call between Chhota Shakeel and his operative in India. Shakeel is heard giving the order to a module in India to carry out the attack.

Chhota Rajan is lodged at Tihar jail and is guarded by Tamil Nadu Special Police round the clock. After the threat came to light three of his cooks have been changed. The food supplied to Rajan is checked before be given to him. A distance of 10 meters is maintained from him inside the jail.

D-company wants Chhota Rajan dead is because it is Rajan who is feeding the police about the activities of D-company especially about the smuggling of drugs and fake currency.

Chhota Rajan was arrested from Bali by Interpol in 2015 and transferred to India.

Rajan and Dawood Ibrahim were once close associates and brought Mumbai under their control. However,  it is widely believed that the duo fell apart after demolition of Babri Masjid at Ramjanmabhoomi. Their rivalry became intense after Dawood Ibrahim struck Mumbai with bomb blasts in 1993 killing around 317 persons.
