Mumbai: All is not well within the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which is hotchpotch alliance between Shiv Sena, NCP, and the Congress to grab power in Maharashtra. Shiv Sena has admitted to the dissatisfaction inside the alliance and the party mouthpiece ‘Saamna’ has also criticized the Congress.
The Shiv Sena said that many leaders of the alliance are fighting over allocation of ministerial berths in the cabinet. The problem is that there are many MLAs from Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena that it was difficult to accommodate them all.
Taking a dig at Congress the Shiv Sena newspaper ‘Saamna’ gave an editorial about Congress Pune office getting vandalized by the supporters of Congress MLA Sangram Thopte. They went on a rampage when their leader was not given a position in the cabinet.
Senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut had skipped the swearing in ceremony of the Maha Vikas Aghadi after his brother was denied a cabinet berth.
The reality is that no one in the Maha Vikas Aghadi seems to be happy with the portfolio allocations and the ill feeling is felt among the leaders and could echo further in the coming days.
