Islamabad: India has condemned the killing of a Sikh youth in Peshawar, Pakistan, and asked Prime Minister Imran Khan to take strict action against the perpetrators.
Yesterday a 25-year old Sikh man, Ravinder Singh was killed in Peshawar. His body was found under Chamkani polices station limits. Ravinder Singh is believed to have travelled to Peshawar for marriage purchase.
In a statement by the External Affairs Ministry said, ” “India strongly condemns targeted killing of minority Sikh community member in Peshawar (Pakistan) that follows recent despicable vandalism and desecration of Gurdwara Sri Janam Asthan at Nankana Sahib and the unresolved case of abduction, forced conversion and marriage of a Sikh girl.”
“India calls upon the Government of Pakistan to stop prevaricating and take immediate action to apprehend and give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of these heinous acts.”
India also asked the government of Pakistan to defend their own minorities instead of preaching sermons about it to other countries.
