Mumbai: Speculations spark after Raj Thackeray, the chief of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), met with the BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday evening in Mumbai, triggering reports of a tie-up.
According to reports, Raj Thackeray who broke up with Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, apparently cousins, have opened talks with the BJP.
The MNS is planning to formalize its ideological re-branding by changing the MNS flag colour to saffron.
This is a drastic move by the MNS who got only one seat in the October state polls and now has reviewed the party’s present scenario. Earlier Raj Thackeray had targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah during campaign.
A former supporter of PM Modi, Raj Thackeray, distanced himself after the BJP came to power in 2014.
