Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Tuesday released a video on Twitter that showed Bollywood celebrities speaking in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
The video features singer Shaan, actors Tanisha Mukerji and Ranvir Shorey and director Anil Sharma, among others.
“The Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 does not affect any Indian citizen. Watch what the artists have to say about CAA,” BJP wrote while sharing the video.
The video begins with Shaan calling CAA an “inclusive act” that would “give citizenship to persecuted minorities.”
“CAA on its own, I already agreed, it’s a humanitarian act,” said Ranvir Shorey in the video.

The BJP is trying its best to dispel misinformation against the CAA and the B-Town can have high influence on people. The video comes after Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal hosted a dinner for the celebrities and to clear confusion about CAA.
