New Delhi: The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), today, decided to take a security audit of all the hostels in the campus. It will help keep tab on the outsiders and unauthorised students living in these hostels.
The Delhi police had asked the Registrar of JNU to do an audit of all the hostels which will help flush out unwanted persons in these places.
The notice by the JNU administration has asked all the students who have guests to give necessary details as per regulations. The administration has also warned these students that if any outsider or unauthorised persons are living in the rooms, action will be taken against the students staying there and the details of the guests will be forwarded to the police.
The hostels of Jawaharlal Nehru University is said to be a den of anti-national activities and many outsiders and unknown persons have been living there without any proper regulations. The move by the administration could bring in a sense of normalcy and also help in rooting out unwanted elements from the University campus.
