New Delhi: A nine-judge Constitution bench of the Supreme Court will hear today the batch of petitions seeking review of the 2018 judgement regarding women’s entry to Sabarimala temple.
On December 13, the top court had said that the order produced in 2018, was “not final” as the matter is pending before a seven-judge bench. Chief Justice of India SA Bobde with a three-judge bench had made these observations.
“There is a judgement (allowing women entry) in the Sabarimala temple, but it is equally true that the issue has been referred to a larger Bench. We do not want any violence,” the court had observed.
