New Delhi: A group of Union Ministers will visit Jammu and Kashmir to spread awareness of the developmental measures taken by the central government after the abrogation of Article 370. The visit is an initiative taken by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, and is scheduled to be by the end of this month.
The exact date of the Ministers’ visit will be decided at the meeting of the Union Council of Ministers on 17 January.
The situation in the valley is coming to normalcy after Article 370 was abrogated. The security forces were able to prevent untoward incidents and protests from getting out of hand.
Though, Pakistan tried its best to highlight the situation of Jammu and Kashmir as grim, the world community stood by India’s decision to bring Kashmir fully under Indian rule. Communication networks were curbed in the state to block violent protests and terror attacks. However, these are being relaxed slowly and many parts of the state has slipped back to normalcy.
