Mumbai: Maharashtra politics is going topsy-turvy after Shiv Sena announced that Chief Minister and party chief, Uddhav Thackeray, will visit Ayodhya after completing 100 days as Chief Minister of the state. This has put the alliance partners of Maha Vikas Aghadi, Congress and NCP, in a fix.
Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Raut, announced that Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya to seek blessings from Lord Ram. Interestingly, the Sena chief has also invited the alliance partners to join him in his visit.
Sanjay Raut tweeted, ” Chalo Ayodhya! CM Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya on the completion of 100 days in power!”
He later said to ANI, ” “Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray will visit Ayodhya on the completion of 100 days in power, to seek the blessings of Lord Ram. We want that our alliance leaders should also come along. Rahul Gandhi also visits several temples.”
The Congress which has been on the opposite side on the issue of the Ram Janmabhoomi case has found itself in a fix. With the invitation extended to them and NCP the Shiv Sena seems to fall back to its earlier Hindutva line after losing its identity when it formed the alliance with Congress and NCP.
Predictably, BJP has taken a dig at Shiv Sena and Meenakshi Lekhi took the lead in mocking the Sena.
She said, “Will you take the Congress along? The same Congress that had questioned the existence of Lord Ram.”
