The chief of the IMF said, “We had a downgrade in one large market India but we believe that’s temporary. We expect momentum to improve further going ahead.”
Concerning the world economy, Kristalina Georgieva, said that the factors driving the positive momentum includes the receding trade war between the US and China and the synchronised tax cuts. However, she wanted fiscal policies to be more aggressive and structural reforms more dynamism for the world economy to be more positive.
