New Delhi: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has submitted an affidavit at the Supreme Court saying that women of Muslim community can enter Mosques.
The affidavit by the AIMPLB was in response to a plea seeking direction to allow women to enter a mosque to offer prayers.
A nine-judge bench of the Supreme Court is examining women entry into Mosques along with other similar cases like Sabarimala and various women related issues in Bohra community and the Parsis.
The affidavit of the AIMPLB comes a day after the Supreme Court said that the Constitutional bench looking into the matter would conclude the proceedings within ten days.
