Ahmedabad: The Statue of Unity, the tallest statue of the world bewildered the entire world as Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the same in Gujarath. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s statue is near Narmada dam in Gujarat.The 182 metre statue is the one completed in the shortest time. It took only 33 months to finish the statue.
The unveiling ceremony is scheduled this special day, as today is the 143rd birth anniversary of the iron man,Sardar Patel. Prime Minister recollected the valuable contributions of Patel to the nation.
“Today, if India is known for a vibrant cooperative sector, a large part of the credit goes to Sardar Patel” PM told. It was due to the round the clock effort of Sardar Patel that the map of India is what it is today,Modi added.
India observes the day as Rashtriya ektha divas. PM congratulated all who took part in Run for Uniy,that was conducted as pa part of ektha divas.The world will never forget this day,Narendra Modi told.He also told that it is through Patel that India attained the blessing of unity.Patel showed the world that India’s diversity is India’s strength, PM told.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his speech criticized the people who try to give political flavour to this great event.
