New Delhi: The 11th edition of Defence Expo 2020 will be inaugurated at the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in Lucknow.
Service chief of about 38 countries have confirmed their participation for the Expo.
The Ministry in a statement said that the event promises to bring in new technologies and technological solutions, where defence manufacturing companies from India and abroad will showcase their products and services in the defence arena on a single platform.
The theme of the Expo this year is ‘India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub’ and the focus will be on ‘Digital Transformation of Defence’.
Around 1028 companies have registered for participating this year as compared to 702 in the previous year. Also the number of foreign companies participating have increased to 172 from 160.
