Panaji: RSS Sarkaryawah, Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi, said that the organization is not opposed to a person converting to Christianity on his own will. However, he said that RSS opposes when illiteracy and poverty is used to convert people.
Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi was speaking at a lecture series on ‘Vishwaguru Bharat, a perspective of RSS’, in Goa, when he made this statement.
The RSS leader said, “If someone on his own understands Christianity and accepts it then well and good. But you should not take advantage of someone’s illiteracy or poverty to convert them.”
He added, “This is not right. We oppose it. We have no reason to oppose someone accepting Christianity on his own.”
