New Delhi: The Supreme Court today said that the decision to transfer Sabarimala case to the larger bench is valid.
The Supreme Court has framed seven questions to be heard by the nine-judge Bench on issues relating to freedom of religion under Constitution and faith.
The apex court also upheld the constitutionality of the SC/ST Amendment Act, which was passed in 2019.
Parliament had brought in the amendment to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act last year to dilute the effect of the Supreme Court’s judgment of March 2018 which diluted the Act.
