Bhopal: The rift brewing in the Congress party in Madhya Pradesh has come out into the open after Jyotiraditya Scindia has warned that he would lead an agitation against the state government headed by Kamal Nath if it do not fulfil the promises made in the manifesto.

Reports say that Jyotiraditya Scindia made this statement while addressing a rally near Prithvipur. The immediate reason for his scathing attack comes after the government failed to regularize services of Athithi Shikshaks or guest facilities which was an important part of the Congress manifesto.

About 5000 Atithi Shikshaks of colleges were holding protests in the state capital for the past two months.

The Congress leader said, “Our turn will come, I assure you. Even if it does not come, don’t worry I will become your shield and sword…That manifesto is our sacred text. Have patience. If all the promises are not fulfilled, do not think you all are alone. Jyotiraditya Scindia will also hit the streets along with you.”

Jyotiraditya Scindia lately hasn’t been toeing the party line. Reports said that he even supported the Citizenship Amendment Act, thought, he later denied it. It is said that Scindia is not happy with Kamal Nath who was awarded the post of Chief Minister after the Assembly election concluded.

Meanwhile, BJP National General Secretary, Kailash Vijayvargia said, “Scindia has exposed what the Congress government is actually doing to fulfill it’s poll promises.”
