New Delhi: The Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Ramesh Pokhriyal, has warned that the government will not tolerate anyone who is denigrating good institutions like JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia.

The Union Minister said, “Be it JNU, Jamia or other institutions, all of them are very good. I am of the view that those who try to denigrate these institutions will not be tolerated at any cost.”

Ramesh Pokhriyal made this statements after CCTV footage from Jamia Millia University surfaced which shows police personnel trying to apprehend anti-CAA protesters who were hiding in the University library.

The footage was not released by the University authorities and reports say that the released footage is doctored. In the alleged doctored video only the police thrashing the students are shown.

But the full version of the video, which is also being circulated on social media, shows students with stones entering the library. The footage captures the suspicious behaviours of the students before the police barged into the room to apprehend the miscreants.
