New Delhi: In order to honour the legacy of late Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, the government of India has decided to rename the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (IDSA) as ‘Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses’.
Parrikar was four time Chief Minister of Goa who passed away in the previous year due to cancer and pancreatic ailments.
The BJP leader was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan last month.
