New Delhi: US President Donald Trump and wife Melania Trump was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday.
President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the First Couple at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The US president was given a tri-services guard of honour at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and several top officials of the US administration were also present at the ceremony.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Indian Ambassador to US, Taranjit Singh Sandhu and the three service chiefs were also present at the occasion.
President Trump and PM Modi will hold talks in a bid to expand India-US global partnership, after a day both showered praises on each other and promised to set a better future for people of the two democracies.
