New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday thanked US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for visiting India. PM Modi termed the visit as ‘path-breaking’ one.
” Thank you @POTUS @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS @MELANIATRUMP for coming to India. This visit has been a path-breaking one. We have covered great ground as far as strengthening bilateral relations are concerned. India-USA friendship benefits the people of our nations and the world,” tweeted PM Modi.
PM Modi also said that he is delighted after the first couple saw different aspects of Indian culture and hospitality.

President Donald Trump concluded his maiden visit to India on Tuesday evening and emplaned for his country from New Delhi. He participated in a host of engagements in 36-hour long trip, including a roadshow, visit to the Taj Mahal, addressing a mammoth crowd at the ‘Namaste Trump’ event at Ahmedabad, visit to Sabarmati Ashram etc.
