Chennai: In a welcome move the Tamil Nadu government has given employment for the daughter of police officer, Wilson, who was killed by Islamic terrorists at a check post in Kaliyakkavilai on the Kerala-Tamil Nadu border.
The government gave her employment with the revenue department as Junior Assistant. The District Collector issued the appointment order and was given to Wilson’s daughter in the presence of the Police Superintendent, District Revenue Officer and Padmanabhapuram Sub Collector. The Tamil Nadu government had also given a compensation to Wilson’s family.
Special Sub Inspector Wilson was shot dead on 8 January by Islamic terrorists Muhammad Shameem and Thoufeek. The NIA has taken over the probe of the police officer. Both Shameem and Thoufeek are charged under the stringent UAPA.
