Chitrakoot: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today, laid the foundation stone of the Bundelkhand Expressway. The project will cost Rs. 15,000 crore and will traverse through Uttar Pradesh’s Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur and Jalaun districts. The total length of the expressway is 296 kms.
It passes through the most backward regions of the country and connects it with the national capital Delhi through Agra Lucknow Expressway and the Yamuna Expressway.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “The project will put Bundelkhand on the development expressway. It will definitely change peoples lives in this entire region.”
He added, “To come up at a cost of around Rs 15,000 crores, this project will create thousands of job opportunities and connect the common people with facilities in bigger cities.”
